A barrel sample to be bottled in January 2019, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Harbison Vineyard is very deep purple-black in color and a little reduced on the nose with earthy and tar aromas over blackcurrants, dark chocolate and aniseed. The full-bodied palate is firm and earthy with a long finish.-LPB

Ripeness is pushed to the edge in the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Harbison Vineyard. Even within the context of these wines, which are always big, the 2017 is super-ripe and flamboyant to the maximum. In this vintage, the Harbison comes across as a bit roasted and overripe, with heavy torrefaction notes and tons of explosive opulence.-AG
