The 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Extrait is a stunning blend of 80% Roussanne and 20% Grenache Blanc, matured in concrete and demi-muids. This medium to full-bodied wine is lush and creamy on the palate yet stays zesty and fresh, with mandarin oranges adding hints of wood spice and brine on the long finish. It's delicious now but should age successfully for up to 10 years.-JC

Transparent yellow. Vibrant, mineral-accented citrus and orchard fruit scents, joined by spicy ginger and floral nuances that build in the glass. Sappy and sharply focused on the palate, offering concentrated pear and Meyer lemon flavors supported by a core of smoky minerals.
