About Us

Aabalat Fine & Rare Wines is based in Petaluma, California. We offer a large number of fine wines from nearly all wine producing regions, but our focus is French, Italian, California, and Port wines. With vintages going as far back as 1864, our inventory averages over 4000 different labels. 

We strive to find the best wines, aged and stored properly for your pleasure and enjoyment. The wine we offer is obtained from trusted suppliers, direct import, and private collectors with the highest provenance. All our inventory is stored in a temperature-controlled warehouse maintained at 55-degrees. All wines are shipped in shipper-approved styrofoam shippers, and are insured against breakage in transit. As a special service to our customers we store wine purchases (at no cost) during periods of extreme heat or extreme cold.

We purchased Aabalat in 2008. Originally trained in engineering, we depended heavily on our passion for wine and problem solving skills to make the business a success. Now Bob has several WSET classes under his belt and Karen has honed her web marketing knowledge, and together with our three young sons we look forward to growing this small business for decades to come.
