This dark purple-colored 2001 provides a layered, textural, sensual feel in the mouth along with attractive levels of black currant and jammy cherry fruit intermixed with abundant new oak. Surprisingly low in acidity for a 2001, with a lot of plumpness, it will drink well over the next decade. A totally hedonistic wine! RP
